SUDLEY INFANT PARENTS & FRIENDS’ ASSOCIATION

Sudley Infant Parents & Friends’ Association (SIPFA) welcomes you and your child to our school, and to being part of us.

During the course of this year we have held several very enjoyable and successful events. In January we held a Chinese New Year party with a dragon dance and martial arts displays both of which were demonstrated by the group that perform in the Chinese New Year festivities in the city centre each year. We also held a very popular ice skating night where we hired an artificial ice skating rink and everyone came along to have a go at skating! Our most recent event was the May Fair which raised over £2000.

All money raised by these events goes straight back to the school and provides OUR children with extra curricular activities and equipment which otherwise may not be available to them. In the past we have contributed towards the refurbishment of the playground, and more recently we have helped buy a large screen for the school hall and our latest investment is some comfy children’s furniture for the new first aid area. The money is also regularly used to buy new books for the library, story sacks for the classrooms, gifts from Santa and sports equipment.

In addition to making money our events provide an excellent opportunity for everyone to get together, make friends and feel part of the community you have joined at Sudley.

I currently have a son in Year 1 and another son in Year 5 at the Juniors and have found that Sudley Infants has been a very welcoming experience for the whole family and being actively involved in SIPFA has enhanced this.

Look out for our website; www.sudleyinfantschool.co.uk. It contains regular updates on events as well as competitions. Any time, great or small, which you have available to share with us is greatly appreciated. We look forward to seeing you at our New Parents’ Evening in the autumn term and hope you will decide to get involved with SIPFA - new faces and fresh ideas are always welcome!

Kindest regards and a warm welcome from SIPFA!
