We love learning about keeping our bodies fit and healthy, as it helps our brains learn new things throughout the day
Today, Jill Reynolds came to visit us and brought along some of her lovely friends.
We learnt lots of facts about different animals, what they eat and where they live. We even got to meet (and stroke) Tango the snake, Solo the leopard kitten and many more.
It was brilliant!

We used shaped sponges and different coloured paints to create our very own patterns.
We are getting really good at remembering what comes next!

We would like to thank everyone for helping the sparrows learn their lines for the Christmas show.
Can you please go through these at home as much as possible.

We also looked at toys from the past and noticed the differences and similarities in comparison to modern toys.

What a lovely couple of weeks we have had back at school!
The Sparrows have been very busy over the last two weeks. We have had lots of visitors who have taught us how to stay safe and how much fun reading is.
Last week, the children learnt how to stay safe if there is an emergency situation in school, at home or even out and about. All of the Sparrows enjoyed this session and I am sure that they would love to show you their new secret signs to help keep you safe!
This week, storyteller Nick Hennessey visited Sudley Infants to share his amazing stories with all of the staff and children. The children used this to create their own stories and share them with their friends.
As well as a storyteller, the children met author Stuart Reid. He held an assembly focusing on his love of reading and why reading is so important! The Sparrows were delighted with the assembly and laughed the entire time. Remember Sparrows, READING ROCKS!
Well done to all of the children who brought in their gardens, they were fantastic and it was super tricky for staff to choose a winner!
This week the Sparrows have used their green fingers again and planted cress. We hope it is growing well for you all at home.
Over the last couple of weeks, the children have been taking care of our caterpillars. This week, some of the cocoons decided that it was time for them to transform into beautiful butterflies. The Sparrows were amazed when they finally were able to release them!
Next week we will be continuing with our topic of Bears. We have really enjoyed learning lots of bear facts and retelling the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Have a brilliant weekend!
